The PG Department of Anatomy, SCB Medical College & Hospital (SCB MCH), Kataka, established in 1944, is one of the premier anatomy departments in Eastern India. The department is responsible for teaching and training students across a wide range of health science programs, including MBBS, BDS, BPT, BOT, BPOE, DMLT, DMRT, Clinical Psychology, and B.Sc.Nursing.
It also conducts examinations and evaluations for these courses and provides postgraduate education and training to approximately seven MD Anatomy students each year. In addition to its academic responsibilities, the department undertakes the embalming of unclaimed and voluntarily donated bodies, which are essential for anatomical teaching and research.
